Olin Cantrell


Cowpens, SC— Olin Delano Cantrell, 86, of 105 Catawba Street, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at his residence.

Born in Cowpens, he was the husband of the late Gloria Jean Linder Cantrell and the son of the late Willie Cantrell and Ruth Willis Cantrell. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed NASCAR, especially Chase Elliott. Mr. Cantrell was retired from Pentex and a member of Central Baptist Church, where he was very involved and a former deacon.

Surviving is a son, Olin Gene Cantrell (Anita) of Cowpens; two daughters, Robin Elizabeth Cantrell Henslee (Darrell) of Cowpens and Lisa Snow of Duncan; a daughter-in-law, Kim Cantrell of Cowpens; five grandchildren, Mary Kate Sharpton (Justin), Abigail Cantrell, Allison Cantrell, Kallie Henslee and Thorne Henslee; and a great-grandchild, Aaron Thomas Sharpton. Mr. Cantrell was preceded in death by a son, Aaron Dale Cantrell; five brothers, James Cantrell, Bob Cantrell, Harold Cantrell, Max Cantrell and Kenneth Cantrell; and a sister, Imogene Mitchum.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens with Reverend Jason Metcalf officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Central Baptist Church, 126 E. Church, Cowpens, SC, 29330.

The family will be at their respective homes.
